Happy Friday! This week absolutely flew by. With huge deadlines at work, I felt like I was scrambling to wrap up at 5:00 each day. Last weekend was busy with a visit to my grandparents in Winchester, Virginia, so I’m hopeful that this weekend will be a bit more low-key…But even so, full of fun! Have a great weekend, everyone!
One | While we were visiting my grandparents last weekend, they showed us this old 45 record-meets love note. Pappa gave it to Gran when they were still dating — it’s a 45 of their song. Notice the note: “To Eleanor, From Tom, With Love.” So unbelievably sweet, and I love that they’ve saved it all these years.
Two | I spent a fair amount of time ogling my grandmother’s gorgeous cactus garden while we visited. I am planning to start one in my sunroom once I find the right container. So much color! I love it!
Three | I got my March Ipsy Bag this week an I am absolutely loving it. I have two products left to try, but after that, I can’t wait to share a full review. I am really enjoying getting these bags — I may not put my subscription on hold!
Four | This week I received my copy of On the Merits of Unnaturalness. I received this for free from Bloomsbury Publishing after sending in a copy of my e-receipt for preordering The Mime Order. This little pamphlet accompanies the Paige Mahoney world, and I am beyond thrilled to have received Copy No. 271.
Five | I’m currently on the hunt for a wrinkle prevention cream and I’m considering purchasing RoC Multi Correxion Lift Anti-Gravity Night Cream. I’m trying to be proactive about preventing my skin from aging. I do the other things I’m supposed to do — wear sunscreen, drink water, etc — but I think that it’s worth trying this out.
