Well, it’s officially official.
The paperwork has been signed, colleagues notified, and shared on Facebook. On Monday, I start a new position as the Information Services Librarian for the Centre County Library and Historical Museum in Bellefonte, Pennsylvania.
The last month or so has been a whirlwind with emails, interviews, meetings, and decisions to make, but I’m excited to transition back into Libraryland. The position is a repackaged version of what used to be the Library’s Historical Collection Manager position, meaning that in addition to conducting normal library business, I’ll have the chance to interact with a unique historical collection centered on local history and geneaology.
The job description is expansive, and the responsibilities of the position are evolving even now. As a new professional position, we’ll be sorting things out as we go along – but I’m absolutely thrilled to be along for the ride.
Adventure is out there.
