Happy Friday, all! This week has been full of activity around these parts. This weekend promises to be a fun one. Sleeping in, a big Penn State football game, and a wedding showcase! Lots to do!
One | This week, I attended the Pennsylvania Library Association Annual Conference in the Poconos. It was my first-ever library conference, and I learned so much! There were lots of great speakers, but we definitely ended on a high note with an amazing talk on readers’ advisory. So inspiring!
Two | A few weeks ago, I made Halfbaked Harvest‘s Pumpkin Beer Pretzels with Chipotle Queso and my goodness they were tasty! I made pretzel bites so they would be easier to share, and was so impressed with the recipe. Plus, I learned to use the dough hook on our stand mixer!
Three | Earlier this month, we placed an order through Minted for our save the date cards and I was so impressed by the quality. Our friends and family have received them over the last week and seem to like them too 🙂 The ordering process was so fast and easy, and the products were so nice. I’ll definitely consider ordering from them again for the invitations!
Four | Last night, we went to see Jeff Dunham’s ‘Perfectly Unbalanced‘ show. I didn’t really know what to expect since I don’t follow any specific comedians, but it was pretty good!
Five | Two towns near us, Milesburg and Howard, are experiencing flash flooding due to heavy rain overnight – some areas are evacuating to a nearby high school. Fortunately, we weren’t affected, but many households were. I’ll be refreshing this article throughout the day for updates; the good news is, the American Red Cross is already on the ground helping people.
